Grenada restores old ties with Cuba
Grenada's Foreign and Tourism Minister Peter Charles David experts to conclude Wednesday his official visit to Cuba, where he fostered bilateral relations, which will turn 30 years soon.David met Tuesday by Cuban Vicepresident Esteban Lazo. The latter praised potentialities of the current Caribbean integration process, and stressed links of brotherhood of this country with Grenada.
Both leaders expressed satisfaction for the current state of bilateral relations and advocated for enhancing and fostering cooperation.
David was grateful to Cuba's historic solidarity with his country, and recalled the recent concluded Cuba-CARICOM Summit, held in December in the eastern Santiago de Cuba city.
Public Works, Physical Planning and Environment Minister Joseph Gilbert, as well as Grenadian ambassador in Cuba Raphael Joseph accompanied the visitor.
The agenda of the top official included a meeting Monday with Foreign Minister Felipe Perez Roque, with who held official talks to strengthen alliances.
In the meeting, David demanded the end of the almost 50-year US economic, trade and financial blockade. More
