Arab world losing tolerance for indifferent leaders

Hizbullah leader Hassan Nasrallah on Sunday called the IDF's offensive in Gaza a "humanitarian disaster and assailed Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit's statement according to which Hamas was to blame for the Israeli assault.

"What they are doing is casting blame on the victim," Nasrallah said in a televised address to a rally staged by the Shiite group in Lebanon. "Yesterday we heard a senior Egyptian official blame the victim Can we allow such behavior from an Arab figure?"

The Hizbullah leader called on the citizens of the Arab countries to "take action in order to stop the Zionist aggression in Gaza and not allow this aggression to achieve any of its objectives. Arab and Islamic regimes that do not act – their citizens must force them to act.

"In the (Second) Lebanon War I did not ask this of the Arab world, but regarding the war in Gaza I say we are all obligated (to act). I call on hundreds of thousands of people to demand that their governments act and take responsibility," he said. More
