Big Dog Backs Barack, Gore To Follow
It took awhile--ok, a long while--before Bill Clinton hit the trail with Barack Obama. But the timing couldn't have been better for Obama, following his brilliant mini-documentary/paid advertisement and six days before the election, with early voting well under way in states like Florida.
At this moment in the campaign, there is no more important validator for Obama than the Big Dog. He reassures wavering Hillary supporters and lends gravitas to the Democratic presidential nominee. "This man should be our president," Clinton told the 35,000 gathered outside of Jacksonville near midnight. "All of our president."
As is his penchant, Clinton spent most of his remarks focused on policy matters, swiftly dismissing John McCain's desperate attacks on "Barack the redistributionist." More
