Union of 'democracies' (NWO) against Russia

Dick Cheney (L), Victor Yushchenko (R)
US Vice President Dick Cheney has urged Ukraine to unite with other 'democracies' so that the country could fend off the 'Russian threat'.

"Ukraine's best hope to overcome these threats is to be united - united domestically first and foremost, and united with other democracies," Cheney said tiptoeing around direct references to Russia.

Cheney, who made the remarks following a meeting with Ukrainian President Victor Yushchenko, has gone on a tour of Russia's neighbors dishing out similar supportive remarks and blasting Moscow for its involvement in the Georgian crisis.

This is while Georgia on August 7 attacked South Ossetia in a bid to regain control over the breakaway province. Russia responded by moving in its military to protect its peacekeeping forces and South Ossetians, most of whom hold Russian citizenship.

Yushchenko for his part commended the 'strategic bilateral relations' and the 'mutual understanding' the two sides enjoyed.

He added that the presence of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in the Ukrainian waters constituted a source of concern for Kiev saying the armada could be availed of in confrontations with third parties.

Reinforced by the US squad, the NATO has been beefing up its presence in the Black Sea. The alliance claims the move merely serves routine purposes.

On Friday, the US harbored its warship Navy's Sixth Fleet USS Mount Whitney at the Georgian port of Poti to deliver 'humanitarian aid' to the country. The move fueled Moscow's concerns that Washington could be helping Georgian claw back its military might for another attack on its independence-seeking republics.
