Colbert assists Bush: 'Obama is a secret time-traveling Nazi Muslim'

In an apparent swipe at Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, George W. Bush recently decried those who favor talking to nations or groups which are hostile to America, comparing them to appeasers of the Nazis.

Comedy Central's Stephen Colbert was especially intrigued by Bush's statement during a speech delivered as part of Israel's 60th anniversary celebrations that "as Nazi tanks crossed into Poland in 1939, an American senator declared, 'Lord, if I could only have talked to Hitler, all this might have been avoided.'"

"This can only mean one thing," Colbert suggested. "The American senator who wanted to talk to Hitler back in 1939 was in fact, Barack Obama. He is not just a secret Muslim. He's a secret time-traveling Nazi Muslim."

COLBERT: Meanwhile, our actual present President is in Israel to commemorate that country's 60th anniversary. Mr. Bush gave a speech on the floor of the Knesset.

COLBERT: The president also used his speech to take a bold swipe at those who would talk to our enemies.

BUSH: We've heard this foolish delusion before as Nazi tanks crossed into Poland in 1939, an American Senator declared, "Lord if I could have only talked to Hitler, all this might have been avoided."

COLBERT: Mr. Bush, of course, was alluding to Barack Obama, who last year said that as President, he would be willing to sit down and meet with Iranian President Mahmoud "achma gonna kill myself if the primary season doesn't end soon ijad". ( applause ) Now, this can only mean one thing, folks-- the American Senator who wanted to talk to Hitler back in 1939 was, in fact Barack Obama. ( laughter ) He is not just a secret Muslim. He's a secret time-traveling Nazi Muslim. ( cheers and applause ) That is a good look. not everybody can pull that off. ( laughter)
