** Australian newspaper reports "US Finger in Unrest Pie" on March 24, 2008, with subtitle: "WHICH country's interests are best served by an uprising in Tibet on the eve of the Beijing Olympics?" The last sentence of the article: "China is not perfect, but nor are the Dalai Lama and the Free Tibet crowd, who are being used as pawns by the US."

* Asia Times said on March 26, 2008 that "Large quantities of former Eastern bloc small arms and explosives have been reportedly smuggled into Tibet over the past 30 years, but these are likely to remain safely hidden until the right opportunity presents itself. The weapons have been acquired on the world markets or from stocks captured by US or Israeli forces. They have been sanitized and are deniable, untraceable back to the CIA."

** MAKING TIBET A RUNNING SORE and A NUISANCE to the CHINESE:
The former CIA Executive Assistant, Sam Halpern, said "the whole idea was to keep Chinese occupied ... annoyed, ... disturbed. No body wanted to go to war over Tibet. ... And so, it was nuisance operation, ... it wouldn't cost very much, not even money or manpower. ... it was Tibetan manpower. We were willing to help Tibetans from becoming a running sore and a nuisance to the Chinese"

** "Students For A Free Tibet" (STF") website: "SFT's programs focus on two main areas: hard-hitting campaigns to make China's occupation of Tibet too costly to maintain, and training to help students become successful leaders and activists for Tibet":

** CIA operations in 1984-1995 period as reported in the website of "Friends of Tibet":

** From 1959 to at least 1970, the Tibetan government in exile received $1.7 million (or $11.6 million in 2006 dollar) a year from CIA. The money is used to pay the terrorist activities against China. Dalai Lama himself was on CIA's payroll until 1974, reportedly receiving $180,000 a year ($897,000 in 2006 dollar). The funds were paid to him personally. National Endowment for Democracy ("NED") has taken over to finance Dalai Lama after 1970, and there is no record in public domain that shows how much money have been funneled to Dalai Lama since then.
